Lieutenant Dorothy A. Moore served with distinction in the United States Navy for nearly three decades, beginning her career in enlisted aviation supply and rising to the officer ranks. Her service spanned key administrative, operational, and leadership roles, including deployments to Iraq and support for U.S. Central Command. She led critical logistics and inspection missions and was selected for multiple prestigious promotions. Her dedication earned her numerous awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Joint and Navy Commendation Medals, and the Iraq Freedom Medal. She retired from honorable service in 2015.

In Lexington, Dorothy brings her discipline and servant leadership to fitness classes she leads at the YMCA. A popular instructor known for her balance of warmth and hard work, she teaches water fitness, low impact for all ages, and yoga.
