Glen F. Dattilo was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on October 14, 1948.  He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1967 and served in Vietnam, Korea, and Thailand as a Munitions Maintenance Specialist. After his honorable discharge in 1971, Dattilo returned to Kentucky, where he became a Forester working for the Commonwealth.  He received many awards including Outstanding Dedication to the Commonwealth and Tree Farm Inspector of the Year.  He is a Kentucky Colonel and an Eagle Scout, serving as a scout leader for many years.

He has volunteered at the VA and with the American Legion Post 8 Honor Guard and presently serves as the Commander. He has served over 1700 military funerals honoring deceased veterans.
