Brittnay Drake was born and grew up in Lexington, attending Lexington Christian Academy, Rosa Parks Elementary and Dunbar High School. From a young age, she showed, raised and trained horses. She earned a scholarship and graduated from the University of Kentucky in December 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Community Communication and Leadership Development. Soon after graduation, she enlisted in the Navy as a Flight Engineer flying the P-3 ORION Recon/Spy Planes. She recently completed Officer Candidate Training in Pensacola, Florida.
